These paintings are called the C-series. The images are united by a repeated motif, the wave. The motif of the wave is my personal response to Hokusai's famous work, the Great Wave. I began numbering the works with the numeral eleven instead of one because I have repainted and painted over the first paintings of the series several times. Paintings C1 - C10 are underneath the C11 and C12. (2002-2004)
